SPECIAL MODEL RELEASE ! “END OF AN ERA!” Some of us can still remember the “end of Steam” in the British Railways days—I’m sure many of the connoisseur collectors still acutely pine for those wonderfully heady but sad days! An employee of the great British Government mess that was the railways became severely disillusioned over that particular happening and decided to direct his passions elsewhere. Mr Brian Crowther was his name and this sad event developed into the formation of what must surely be one of the most colourful- literally so, as well as in the practical sense- of the many British Independent bus Companies, BLACK PRINCE bus Company of Morley. Most of us are aware that the 30th of July 2005 marks the end of this very colourful era in British Independent Bus Companies, as the First Group P L C will officially take over a selected number of the buses and all the franchised routes that Black Prince now operates in and around Leeds. To mark this passing, Britbus Ltd. of Hong Kong who have had a warm and happy relationship with Brian, Jack Berry and staff of Black Prince for some time now, have been prompted to help mark this occasion by producing a special model. The Special Model is of one of the Alexander bodied “R” type bodied Scania 113”s in the blue and cream livery on route 88 to Bradford. It is fleet number 421 in the current fleet (R 800X-BP). Additionally there will be a small repeat production (at a special reduced price) of the original Britbus Model N 6202 Scania –Metropolitan in one of the erstwhile red/yellow and maroon liveries (KJD 204 P). Both models will be packaged in the latest Britbus Ltd. clear packaging. Both models will be issued with special certificates (END OF AN ERA) and will have production runs of 1008 for the R 800x-BP (the R type Scania) and 480 for the N6202( Scania- Metropolitan)- ex London Transport fleet. It is expected that these models will be available in Early AUGUST 2005. NEXT RELEASE: Technical difficulties are still being experienced with the Mainland factory, so the now very late release of R 801 – London Northern Alexander bodied Scania, Fleet No S2 on route 263 to Potters Bar Garage, is still unfortunately not able to be delivered. We sincerely apologise but it is not something we can rectify ourselves and thus ask our collectors to bear with us a while longer. It is hoped that all necessary rectification work will be completed by the first week in August. Sorry! The next release (by necessity!) will now be one of the Red Liveried Single door London Transport Short Swifts in the shape of SM5 ( AML 5H ) on the Bexleyheath Circular route 132. This is a limited Edition of 1200 pieces and will be available from your local retailers who can obtain their supplies from the BritbuS Ltd. agents – JOHN AYREY DIECASTS LTD. of Shipley in West Yorkshire. It should be available by (hopefully) the end of next week. Click

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE Dennis / TransBus Mini Pointer Dart UKBUS3014 – Arriva Twin-Pack CMN is releasing its second Twin-Pack bus models which contains 2 Arriva Mini Pointer Darts – PDL 85 (LF52 USC) that was delivered to Arriva London in November 2002 and 1608 (GN04 UCY) that was delivered to Arriva Southern Counties in 2004 for service in the Medway Towns. The UKBUS3014 Twin-Pack is presented within an elegant box. The two Darts are covered with a specially-designed blister. This Twin-Pack will again create a certain noise from the British bus model collectors, not only because of the luxury and eye-catching packaging, but with the detailed MPD replicas inside. CMNL has redesigned the special packaging to ensure the models are held firmly in place. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model also features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, showing the detailed environmentally friendly Euro 3 engine. All grab rails feature inside the replica and in their correct positions and colours. The construction method of this replica permits realistic-looking front and rear lights. As two MPDs are servicing different areas, the colours on the replicas are significantly different. PDL 85 is featured operating on route 192 from Tottenham Hale to Enfield Town in the north-eastern suburbs of London. The route is operated on contract to Transport for London with Mini Pointer Darts to a daytime frequency of around every 10 minutes, and an end-to-end journey time of approximately 45 minutes. The route passes through Edmonton Green and features 2 ‘Hail and Ride’ sections. These small buses allow for a frequent service with full accessibility for passengers with poor mobility or with young children. 1608 is featured operating on Arriva Southern Counties’ service 164 that operates within Chatham, in Kent. The route operates to a daytime frequency of 15 minutes. The Mini Pointer Dart fully accessible low floor vehicle brings quality travel to the Medway Towns’ bus network. The brand new UKBUS3014 Arriva MPD Twiin-Pack bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE Bus Eireann UKBUS3015 Dennis Mini Pointer Dart Creative Master Northcord Limited (CMNL) is writing a new chapter again in the model bus history of both the UK and Ireland. CMNL has released its first replica in Bus Eireann livery on its well-known casting – the Dennis Mini Pointer Dart (MPD). Bus Eireann – Ireland’s national bus company – operates city bus services in Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford as well as Expressway long-distance coach services, local bus services in rural areas, Eurolines coach services linking Ireland and Britain and a nationwide school transport network. UKBUS3015 Bus Eireann MPD carries fleet number DPC 110 (02 D 18257), is one of a fleet of 11 similar vehicles placed in service in Waterford city during 2002. The Mini Pointer Dart type was selected for operation on Waterford City Services because of very narrow streets in the city centre area. The use of smaller buses running to a high frequency timetable gives bus users optimum access to the central shopping and business district of the city. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model also features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, showing the detailed, environmentally friendly Euro 3 engine. All grab rails feature inside the replica and in their correct positions. The construction method of this replica permits realistic-looking front and rear lights – in particular the front headlamp / indicator assembly whose headlamp is transparent and indicator is translucent. The brand new UKBUS3015 Bus Eireann MPD bus models are limited to 2000 pieces produced. It will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), SJ Enterprises Ltd (Ireland), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.
