PRESS RELEASE RECEIVED FROM CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD LTD Stagecoach in Manchester UKBUS1012 Alexander ALX 400 – Bodied Dennis Trident "Following the great success of the Golden Jubilee edition of “going for gold in Manchester” in November 2002, Creative Master Northcord Limited (CMNL) has released its second Stagecoach in Manchester replica on its well-known casting – the Alexander ALX400 bodied – Dennis Trident with standard Stagecoach livery. In 2002 Stagecoach in Manchester received 30 Alexander ALX 400-bodied Dennis Tridents that formed a GBP2.5 million investment in fully accessible buses. 5 of these were painted in Golden Jubilee colours, the remainder carried special route branding for the Commonwealth Games Shuttle service which ran at 1 minute intervals. After the Games, the special route branding was removed and standard fleet names were applied. These buses now run on normal services radiating from the hub at Piccadilly in Manchester City Centre. Originally numbered 1611, our model features fleet number 17711 in the Stagecoach national series, registered MK02 EHD and working on service 253 to Piccadilly via Stretford. The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, engine detail and a new anti-branch feature. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model has no ugly metal poles to hold it together. The brand new “Stagecoach in Manchester” bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively".Please note: If you copy the press release from this site for publication elsewhere you must acknowledge British Model Buses.
