I returned home after a 4 hour car journey from Donington to Essex, the traffic was very slow on the M1, it only took 3 hours going up yesterday. The weather stayed dry for the day about 18 degrees with a slight breeze.
Model news from the show:
Jotus.com (Resin Specialist) were commissioned to produce a small number of models to present to the winning owners and operators of the buses in the various categories for the Show. Unfortunately by the time I had to leave, they had not put out the prizes so I do not have any photographs at this time ( I will see what I can do).
Forward Models had a stall and announced delays to their Glasgow and Manchester models. I have attached a copy of their Newsletter which explains everything CLICK HERE.
I hope to put a fuller report together during this next week (work permitting). I know that I photographed at least 4 buses that have been represented in model form and I will definitely publish these. Hopefully there will be a few more amongst the photographs I took.

Further to my news of yesterday, I spoke to EFE today and they have provided me details of the model. They advised me that they do not have any production images on file and none of the models remain with them for photography. They have forwarded me a copy of the specification sheet which shows the livery - please note this is a large file of just over 600kb so may take a while to download dependant on your download speed.

The Bus Driver of the Year competition 2016, commissioned EFE to produce a model in a special "Bus Driver of The Year" livery to present to every driver taking part. The following from the BDoY website gives details of how you can bid to buy one of the models:
Limited Edition Replica Model Bus
Made by the renowned Gilbow (Holdings) Ltd, especially to commemorate our 50th event and sporting a special BDoY livery, each competitor taking part in the 2016 competition received a limited edition, 1:76 scale precision die-cast replica model bus, based on the unique AEC RT-Type that operated for Coventry Corporation Transport between 1950 and 1964. The bus comes complete with a registration card detailing its history and links to the competition.
We are pleased to announce that around 20 of the 157 buses that were made, are now available to purchase by the submission of sealed bids.

Models are limited to 1 per person. Payment can only be made by cheque or bank transfer. The submission of a bid does not guarantee one of the models. You can submit improved bids but only the highest one will be accepted. Bidding closes at 23.00 on Wednesday 5th October.
Once selected and payment has been received, the model will be sent by recorded delivery to an agreed address. This will incur an additional cost of £10 for p&p (UK mainland only).

The latest (15th) edition of "EFE & CORGI OOC MODEL BUSES GUIDE" is soon to be released on 25th September at the Showbus Event at Donnington Park, East Midlands. The edition for this year will include all the new releases from EFE and CORGI OOC etc as usual, and this year will also include full details of Atlas Editions Buses and Coaches, B-T, Forward, Oxford and UK resin released models.
The guide for 2016, which is priced yet again at just £16.50 can also be purchased post free mail-order. The guide for this year will be a very limited issue and all orders received before 18th September will be guaranteed to be supplied.

COMMISSIONED MODEL ANNOUNCED BY SUTTON UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

Sutton United have commissioned a further model bus from Exclusive First Editions to celebrate winning the National League South in season 2015/2016.
This is a strictly limited edition of 100 models, each with a numbered certificate, and is an open top AEC Routemaster bus (33105A).
These will be available on a strictly first come, first served basis at £32 each + £3 postage and packing.
