7th SUBSCRIBER MAILING There
is an update on the LT Museum Gold models In addition Mr Frank Joyce, Managing Director of Gilbow (Holdings) Ltd gives some justification to the confusion over EFE release schedules which include the continued down turn in the world economy following September 11th which has resulted in factory closures or staff levels being reduced. In addition he states that falling sales of model magazines have caused havoc with their advertising plans because the magazines have brought publication dates forward to maximise sales. He even states "One magazine has even gone to the extreme of creating a 13 month year, and their advertisers who were unaware of this, have had their budgets exceeded" Frank also states that "the appearance of the Tube Trains and the tinplate Miller Cars in our range are to allow us to flex our design skills, whilst strengthening and creating a broader base for the company, however they will not interfere with the development of our 1:76 scale buses and trucks" Monday 18 November 2002 |

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD LTD -
PRESS RELEASE The following press release was issued this morning by Creative Master and is published in full. PRESS RELEASE Going for Gold in Manchester ukbus 1008 Alexander ALX 400 – Bodied Dennis Trident "Creative Master Northcord Limited (CMNL) has released its second Jubilee bus replica on its well-known casting – the Alexander ALX 400 bodied – Dennis Trident. The ukbus 1008 model carries Stagecoach Manchester’s special colour. Five brand new Jubilee buses were delivered to Stagecoach Manchester to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth in 2002. These buses carry a special purple and gold adaptation of the increasingly familiar ‘new’ red, orange and blue livery. For people in Manchester, and for Commonwealth Games athletes, the branding “going for gold in Manchester” had a double meaning and celebration – the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. For the model collectors, this model also has a double meaning – for the collection and for the memory. The replica carries the registration number of MK02 EGU. It features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, engine detail and a new anti-branch feature. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model has no ugly metal poles to hold it together. The brand new “going for gold in Manchester” bus models will be distributed by Corgi Classics Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively."
