Showbus 2002

Before I mention the models, a number of people have asked what the weather was like! On the whole the weather was good although quite breezy, the local weather forecast said 16 degrees. We did have the customary showers including a couple of quite heavy but short lived ones, however they did not appear to spoil everyone's enjoyment.

The following models were on display in pre production form. The release dates are not known at present. I would like to apologise for the fact that some of the pictures displayed in this report are not up to the usual standard. The digital camera I usually use was not available and I had to use my old camera. I do however feel that displaying these pictures to give you a rough idea of what the models are like is preferable to not displaying them at all. If anyone has better quality photographs please EMAIL me I would be very grateful to receive them.

As mentioned last night no new casting was announced by EFE although on display was a set of wooden tooling masters for a new model the ECW Leyland Olympian. The picture shown below shows a close up of the lower deck.

Also on display was a Pre Production Gold RT (RT4712) with no decoration (see picture below). No further details are available at this time for this model.

Announced 3 London Transport versions of their qb caricature buses based on the DMS (If you are unfamiliar with these buses please visit the Jotus web site to see the two Hong Kong Citybus models currently on sale).

It is anticipated these models will be available in approximately two/three months time. I will publish pictures as soon as they are available.

The picture below shows Sindy and Joe on their stall at Showbus.
