BUS GARAGE KIT FROM KINGSWAY MODELS BUS
KITS RESIN/WHITE METAL BUS KIT RANGE "To fill the gaps in the diecast model bus market, Alan Johnson has launched his BUSKIT's range of 1:76 scale resin/white metal kits and his ALKITs which are bespoke models made in sheet metal using resin/white metal components This picture CLICK HERE shows the latest in his BUSKITs range - his 'take' on the MCW 'Orion' body which was released as a diecast by EFE and Corgi as a 27 foot back loader. The BUSKIT's versions cover some of the other 'Orion' variants. BUSKIT 26 is the four bay front loader as delivered to Brighton and Southport Corporations on Leyland PD2 chassis and to Chesterfield on Daimler CCG6 chassis. BUSKIT 27 is the five bay version as supplied to Halifax and Salford Corporations and to Devon General on AEC Regent V chassis. BUSKIT 28 is the four bay version of the body modelled by EFE and Corgi. Both Brighton and Liverpool Corporations took large numbers of these. BUSKIT 29 is the 30 foot long version of the EFE/Corgi model. This bus could be seen everywhere in the UK from t Newcastle on Tyne to the Isle of Man to Leicester, Oxford and Portsmouth. Some went to Lancashire United to see off the South Lancashire trolleybus system. Alan also supplies resin kits of Tilling Group buses such as the Mark 1 Bristol VRT, the type 2 LD Lodekka and the FSF. Coming soon will be the Bristol MW bus. Prices of these BUSKITs range from £35 for single deckers to £40 for double deckers - all prices include UK postage. Alan can be contacted direct at buskits@googlemail.com " "Alan Johnson's ALKITs are custom built models using resin/white metal components. Alan has amassed a database over the past fifty years of technical data on most buses built in Britain since 1945. So, you name it and Alan can probably build it! Alan has in stock a variety of 1:76 scale white metal wheels, resin seating units, staircases and bonnets to represent both front and rear engined models of buses built by AEC, Albion, Bristol, Daimler, Guy and Leyland. Alan will also make single deckers to order. The picture CLICK HERE shows a couple of recent ALKITs built to represent the Manchester Corporation batch of Burlingham bodied Daimlers delivered in 1957. He is now assembling a number of similar buses supplied to Ribble Motor Services on Leyland PD2/13 chassis. Not shown in the picture are the lights and dograils which he supplies for fitting to the finished model. Most ALKITs are £58 plus postage. Alan can be contacted at buskits@googlemail.com " Wednesday 17 November 2010 |

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE CNBUS3003 Sunwin SWB6120V4LE / Volvo B7RLE Shanghai Ba-Shi Erqi Shanghai Expo Route 2 The greatest ever World Expo event has now closed its doors. This was the Shanghai World Expo 2010. There were 73.08 million visitors from all over the world who took a visit to this great event in the past six months, with Saturday 16th October recording a single-day figure of 1 032 800 visitors. Creative Master Northcord Limited is pleased to announce the similar success of its CNBUS3002 model with Expo 2010 brandings and is now proud to make the official announcement of a third Sunwin SWB6120V4LE / Volvo B7RLE model. This is CNBUS3003, a replica Shanghai Expo 2010 route 2, in service between Shanghai South Railway Station and Gate 8 at Shanghai Expo Pudong-side, in the fleet of Shanghai Ba-Shi Erqi Public Transport Company Ltd (巴士二汽). CNBUS3003 represents fleet number S2M-004B (滬B‧D6403). The livery is the standard one for the Shanghai Ba-Shi Group on which many Expo 2010 decorations have been applied.
These include : Ø Front, side and rear destinations with special Expo wording Ø “Haibao”, the mascot for Shanghai Expo, on the rear engine access door Ø On both sides, the wordings “Expo Bus 世博專綫” applied. Ø The Expo 2010 emblem applied to the outside of the front and rear destination glass in addition to the bodysides. The emblem, depicting the image of three people - you, me and him/her holding hands together - symbolises the big family of mankind and is inspired by the shape of the Chinese character "世" (meaning the world). Together with the previous CNBUS3002, both models are the significant memory of Shanghai Expo 2010 to all collectors. CNBUS3003 exemplifies all features on the new casting of a Volvo B7RLE with Sunwin body from the real bus. The CNBUS3000 range carries forward the family resemblance of the original CNBUS1000 range onto this new, low-floor range. CNBUS3003 features excellent detailing, inside and out. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and application of the livery on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible on the white / green paint. The model has no unnecessary metal poles to hold it together. The CNBUS3003 model is limited to 636 pieces for worldwide distribution. They will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P.R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.
