BRITBUS METROPOLITAN
The following report was posted yesterday on the Model Bus Federation members forum:

"The Metropolitan casting has been revised, taking on board comments made by buyers of the MBF model.
The front corner pillars on the upper deck have been thinned down a bit. The side moulding for the chrome strip has also been thinned. The size of the front/side trafficators have also been reduced. The boot has been corrected so that the hinge is less pronounced. The exhaust pipe and drive line are now correct for a UK vehicle.
All this makes the MBF casting unique, as all further versions will be different to ours!
The next release of this model will be a China Motor Bus vehicle in red/cream livery."

CORGI OOC PRESS INFORMATION
I have received the following press information from Corgi regarding their new East Lancs models:

"Corgi Has Ticket to Ride with East Lancashire Coachbuilders once again, East Lancashire Coachbuilders dominates the Original Omnibus Collection from Corgi Classics. Building on the success of the East Lancashire models during the first half of 2003 Corgi has included three brand new tooling double-decker buses in the latest OOC catalogue.

Representing the Lolyne, Vyking and Lowlander bodies, the models feature either standard or the distinctive Myllennium front, as well as single or dual doors. Interchangeable rear detail and opening engine cover with different styles of engines make these models an essential addition to any collection.

The first of the new releases is the Ipswich Buses Lowlander (Myllennium), which marks the centenary of the operator this year. The Lowlander will be available from July. Next up is the Vyking (Myllennium) featuring London General Transport Services Ltd livery, which is released in September. The final release is the Lolyne single door double decker in Nottingham City Transport livery available from November.

All OOC models now come in smart new packaging, which still allows a 3600 view of the model. Each model has photo-etched wipers, fine detail mirrors, highly specific levels of decoration and a Limited Edition certificate, and are priced from £21.99. Avid collectors can receive all the latest news with OOC Collector Club membership, which includes a bi-monthly newsletter, a bi-annual fleet list, offers and discounts. For more information, call the consumer hotline on 0845 603 9070 or visit www.corgiclassics.co.uk"

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD LTD - PRESS RELEASE
The following press release has just been received from Creative Master Northcord Ltd:

PRESS RELEASE

Date: 3rd June 2003

For immediate release

New Casting - Plaxton President Bodied Dennis Trident (single door)

Model  number : ukbus 2002  Lothian Airlink (Edinburgh Airport Service)

Following great success with the new replica Plaxton President- bodied Dennis Trident castings in Open-top Edinburgh City Sightseeing Tour and 2-door London Metroline liveries in the UK, Creative Master Northcord Limited (CMNL) has proudly released its launch single-door model. It is a replica of a Lothian Airlink Plaxton President Trident.

CMNL is creating history when it releases this bus model, just as Lothian Buses did by operating an express service between Edinburgh City Centre and Edinburgh Airport with these brand new Dennis Tridents. The replicas carry all the outstanding features that the real buses have. The features include a wheelchair accessible area, a lower saloon luggage rack and tables on both decks. The replicas also bring the full livery of Airlink, which was designed by Ray Stenning of ‘Best Impressions’, to model form.

The replica carries the registration number SN51 AXF. It also features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model has no ugly metal poles to hold it together.

The brand new single door Lothian Airlink bus models will be distributed by Corgi Classics Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.

07.30AM Wednesday 3 June 2003

This new  policy means OM42501 East Lancs. (Myllennium) Lowlander Ipswich Buses Centenary will NOT be a limited edition model.
