5TH SUBSCRIBER NEWSLETTER 2009 The latest EFE subscriber newsletter arrived today and has a number of interesting articles: Mr Frank Joyce points out that the RF bus came out of service with LT at the same time as the RT. He states "it begs the question, should we also consider making a similar model of RF507, working route 218 the last RF bus service on 30/31st March 1979" The first releases of the new SLF Plaxton Dart are now in production and will be released shortly directly followed by the firs releases of the BET 36 foot dual purpose bus. The Olympus tooling is progressing and also EFE are well advanced with the tooling for another classic double deck bus the identity of which will be released shortly. EFE are also revisiting and updating some of their existing models in a similar manner to the RT and RM castings. They are also working on tooling new cab designs to add to the Truck range. Two

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE UKBUS6024 Alexander Dennis Enviro400 London Central Following the great success of the launch models of the Alexander Dennis Enviro400 in two different overall lengths, Creative Master Northcord Limited is pleased to announce the release of UKBUS6024, the sixth dual-door, short-wheelbase Alexander Dennis Enviro400 model for a London operator, on this occasion in London Central’s standard Transport for London livery. UKBUS6024 represents fleet number E99 (LX08 ECC). E99 is one of 45 Alexander Dennis Enviro400s currently operated by London Central. Introduced in February 2007, this model represents one of the six vehicles based at New Cross which are used exclusively on route 36 which operates between New Cross and Queen’s Park via Victoria and Paddington Stations. These vehicles are designed to be environmentally friendly and form part of GO-Ahead London’s ongoing modernisation of its fleet. The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 UKBUS6024 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, gasket windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the UKBUS6024 model is its dual individual tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is also significant, with its curved windscreen on the upper deck. Creative Master Northcord is creating new design standards in the layout of the interior of both saloons. These features inside the compartments represent the really outstanding layout of the Enviro400, such as the newly designed emergency window at the upper deck at the back, an additional seat behind the driving cab, additional ventilation equipment on the upper deck ceiling, and extensive portrayal of handrails on the upper and lower deck, etc. The headlights at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic. The brand new Enviro400 UKBUS6024 bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphics (Australia), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), cnmycar.com (P. R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS6024 model is limited to 1100 pieces worldwide. Photograph
