OXFORD DIECAST MODEL 76BI004 BEADLE INTEGRAL - SOUTHDOWN As reported on 21st March, Oxford Diecast are now issuing replacement interiors for the above model so that the internal seating is correctly aligned with the passenger door. My replacement seats arrived today and I have now fitted them. I have attached a number of photographs including the instructions issued by Oxford Diecast. The hardest part of the process for me, was the initial loosening of the body shell. I used a very fine jeweller’s flat head screwdriver, but it was still difficult to get between the body work and the base plate. It is not mentioned on the instructions, but when fitting the new seats and replacing the base plate, you need to hold the seat unit against the base plate and slide the two units into the front underside of the body shell together, otherwise if you put the seats into the body shell separately, there it is not enough room between the base plate and the seat unit to align the base plate with the two pegs inside the body shell. I hope that makes sense! I have attached photographs showing before and after, the two seat units and the Oxford Diecast instructions. If you have not yet ordered your replacements seats from Oxford, the details of how to do this are on my post of 21st March (below). |

OXFORD
DIECAST MODEL 76BI004 BEADLE INTEGRAL - SOUTHDOWN The above model which was released during December 2018, was issued with the incorrect body interior meaning that a seat can be seen blocking the passenger door. Oxford Diecast have announced that they will be issuing the correct interiors free of charge for collectors so that they can swap them over: ".... if you are interested in receiving the corrected interior for 76BI004 which shows the centre entrance, please email me eloise@oxforddiecast.co.uk You will need to unscrew the base and the interior can be swapped over. Please send your name and address. If you require more than 1, I require a copy of your receipt. There is no charge for this". In other Oxford Diecast news, Oxford Diecast have now set up their own official Facebook page, go onto Facebook and search for Oxford Diecast to find it. |
