CASTING - IRISH COMMISSIONED MODEL FROM JOTUS.COM Adrian Lemon has written to advise me that himself and Derek Farrelly (who commissioned EFE model 24821 Mercedes minibus - Dublin bus CITY IMP) have commissioned another Irish model. The model will feature a new resin casting from Jotus.com of the CIE KD class. There will be two separate models each limited to 150 pieces. Click

KD221 of Phibsboro Garage carrying Dublin Bus wording and adverts Adrian advises me that "the model price can't be given as of yet, but models are in production and are subject to import duty in Ireland which can be significantly higher than our neighbours in the UK". BUS MUSEUM - TRANSPORT FEST I attended the event yesterday. The Museum had on display two production samples of their new Jotus Resin LT models. As indicated in my update of 15th October, stock will not be received until late October or early November. Omnibus Models were selling their latest code 3 New Routemaster and only had
two left of each model by them time I left the show. I will publish additional photographs of both models later this week. However, due to an extremely busy week ahead at work, I am unlikely to add any updates before Friday evening at the earliest. Monday 19th October 2015 |

MODEL 38124 BRISTOL VRT - DURHAM DISTRICT - CHANGE OF DETAILS Further to my news of last Friday (see below), EFE have today advised that they have changed the details. They explained that "The model was prepared from information sent in to us which at the time we believed to be genuine, subsequently we have found the vehicle to have been fictitious and the reference image to have been expertly photoshopped" The model has now been changed to a United Counties model as follows, EFE have also sent me pre-production photographs of the new model: 38124 Bristol VRT - United Counties LONDON
BUS MUSEUM MODEL UPDATE "Unfortunately the Jotus LT model has been delayed due to production difficulties and will not be available in time for our Transportfest 2015 event on the 18th October. Although we will have one of each of the production models on display at our Transportfest event, the main production quantity will not be completed until the end of October - beginning of November. Any customers pre-orders will be processed as soon as the models are delivered. The London Bus Museum would like to apologise for this delay and any inconvenience caused". CONFIRMED

MODEL 38124 BRISTOL VRT - DURHAM DISTRICT Further to my news report of last evening announcing a number of models including the above 38124, I have been contacted by a visitor to my website advising me that the bus being represented is actually fictitious and never existed. He referred me to a photograph and text on Flikr CLICK HERE which explains the situation. I wrote to EFE first thing this morning and am awaiting their reply. I will update you when I hear more.
