MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE UKBUS6009 Alexander Dennis Enviro400 Stagecoach in Lancashire Creative Master Northcord Limited is pleased to announce the release of Alexander Dennis Enviro400 UKBUS6009, the third livery on the newly re-tooled casting of a distinctive modern double-decker in the United Kingdom. UKBUS6009 represents fleet number 19031 (SN56 AVX) that was new to Stagecoach in Newcastle (Busways Travel Services Ltd.) in 2006 before transfer across to the west to operate from Preston depot. UKBUS6009 carries route branding of Stagecoach in Lancashire’s Citi 2 service which is one of the success stories of the deregulated bus industry in the United Kingdom. Starting life as a series of disparate routes and numbers, linking Southport, Preston and Longridge, the decision was made in 2004, to simplify the numbering, the route and to improve the timetable. Since then, Citi 2 has gone from strength to strength, seeing growth of over 30% in the last three years. Last year, the Company decided to trial 24 hour operation at weekends between Preston and Longridge – a first for the Preston area. This experiment proved such a success that Stagecoach in Lancashire is considering further, with similar improvements elsewhere across the network. To reflect the growth in patronage and to replace the varied, tired fleet that operated the old service 2, it was decided that fifteen nearly-new Enviro400 double-deck buses would be transferred from Stagecoach in Newcastle to provide a consistently high quality service and to simulate further growth by relaunching the route as part of the new Preston ‘Citi’ network. Early indications are that the new buses have been well received and are helping grow the market even further. Creative Master Northcord is creating new design standards in the layout of the interior of both saloons. The features inside the compartments represent the really outstanding layout of the bus, including the extensive portrayal of handrails on both upper and lower decks. The headlights at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic. CMNL’s Enviro400 model UKBUS6009 has additional features to Stagecoach ‘Provincial’ specification, including newly designed windows at the driving cab, an additional rear-facing seat at the rear of the upper-deck and newly designed rear dome incorporating a representation of the opening emergency window but lacking the indent for additional upper-saloon ventilation equipment found on other Enviro400s. The brand new Enviro400 bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P. R. China), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS6009 model is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. Photograph

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE UKBUS6007 Alexander Dennis Enviro400 Stagecoach in Swindon Creative Master Northcord Limited is pleased to announce the release of Alexander Dennis Enviro400 UKBUS6007, the second livery on the newly re-tooled casting of a distinctive modern double-decker in the United Kingdom. UKBUS6007 represents fleet number 19129 (VX07 CYU) that was new to Stagecoach in Swindon in early 2007. As on the previously released UKBUS6005 (Stagecoach in Manchester), the Enviro400 body as delivered to Stagecoach for ‘Provincial’ fleets differs from those delivered elsewhere because the staircase is not straight, but angled. This compact design maximises the number of seats for passengers, but the key signature of the straight staircase version, the single seat behind the driver’s cab, is lost. The re-tooled UKBUS6007 model replicates the angled staircase correctly. The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 UKBUS6007 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, gasket windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the UKBUS6007 model is its dual individual tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is significant, with its curved windscreen. UKBUS6007 carries route branding for “Trans Wilts Express”. The Trans Wilts Express runs six days a week from Swindon to Trowbridge via Devizes and Avebury and as far as Devizes from Swindon on Sunday. It is operated by Stagecoach in Swindon with three of these brand new Enviro400 double-decker buses, offering easy access downstairs and grandstand views of the Wiltshire countryside upstairs. Creative Master Northcord is creating new design standards in the layout of the interior of both saloons. The features inside the compartments represent the really outstanding layout of the bus, including the extensive portrayal of handrails on both upper and lower decks. The headlights at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic. CMNL’s re-tooled Enviro400 model UKBUS6007 has additional features to Stagecoach ‘Provincial’ specification, including newly designed windows at the driving cab, an additional rear-facing seat at the rear of the upper-deck and newly designed rear dome incorporating a representation of the opening emergency window but lacking the indent for additional upper-saloon ventilation equipment found on other Enviro400s.
