CASTING FROM CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD LTD Catching up on some reading last night, the Christmas edition of Model Collector Magazine carries an interview with Mr Danny Chan from CMNL. In the article he states that the next new tooling will be the Plaxton Primo with the initial release being in the demonstration livery, no further details are given. He also states that CMNL will be introducing "some scale street furniture, such as bus shelters, bus stops and ticket machines. At first these will be included with models but probably later be offered separately". He goes on to say that "A further set of two Dennis Darts, this time in Go North East Liveries, is also planned". Wednesday 28 November 2007 |

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE UKBUS4013 Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian Western Greyhound Since the operation of London’s Airbus routes ceased a few years ago, the new lives of the ex-Airbus Volvo Olympian / Alexander Royales have been of interest to British enthusiasts. Creative Master Northcord Limited is releasing the fourth livery on the Airbus / ex-Airbus replica – UKBUS4013, in Western Greyhound colours. UKBUS4013 represents fleet number 600 (N600 WGL). Bus 600 was delivered new to London United in the spring of 1996 (registered N124 YRW) for London Airbus services. National Express purchased the Airbus operation from London United in 1999 along with the 19 Olympians which operated it. These vehicles were unusual in having Air Conditioning, only 9 seats in the lower saloon, luggage racks and a wheelchair space & lift. Following the reduction of Airbus services, Western Greyhound acquired this Olympian from the dealer Ensignbus. Western Greyhound is an independent bus operator based in Newquay, Cornwall and was set up in 1998. It runs a highly standardised fleet of 60 Mercedes-Benz 814 / Plaxton Beaver 2s, 10 Olympians, Volvo B10 / Van Hool coaches, plus a small selection of heritage vehicles. This particular bus was fleet number 600 and was purchased specially to operate the new 737 dedicated service between Truro and the expanding Newquay Airport when Ryanair commenced operations. Similar to those Airbus / ex-Airbus replicas, UKBUS4013 has a new combination of the UKBUS4000 series casting, with a single door, front staircase and bonded windows, as well as chair lift poles at the entrance, brand new seats and luggage rack in the lower saloon and ventilation windows on the roof. UKBUS4013 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the bonded windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The headlight and indicator units at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic. The brand new single-door Alexander Royale Volvo Olympian double-deck bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphics (Australia), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), cnmycar.com (P.R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS4013 model is limited to 1100 pieces worldwide. Photograph

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE New Casting UKBUS8002 Alexander Dennis Enviro200Dart Plymouth Citybus Creative Master Northcord Limited is pleased to announce the release of Alexander Dennis Enviro200Dart UKBUS8002, the 10.7m long wheelbase version of the long-awaited new casting of this distinctive modern single-decker in the United Kingdom. The first livery to be carried on the brand new model is Plymouth Citybus with special Plymouth waterfront livery. UKBUS8002 represents fleet number 133 (WA56 HHO). Plymouth Citybus placed its very first Enviro200Darts into service in October 2006 and they carry a special livery for service 34. This route connects the City centre with fashionable waterfront developments, the focal point of which is the historic Royal William Yard that was once a key installation for the Royal Navy. Route 34 also serves Stoke Village, Milehouse, Crownhill and Derriford Hospital. Investment in these vehicles has taken place in partnership with The South West Regional Development Agency who is playing a lead role in the regeneration of the Plymouth waterfront. The Alexander Dennis Enviro200Dart UKBUS8002 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, bonded windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Creative Master Northcord is creating new design standards in the layout of the interior in the replica. These features inside the compartment represent the really outstanding layout of the Enviro200Dart, such as the additional seats on the wheel arch on the offside, and extensive portrayal of handrails in the compartment. The brand new Enviro200Dart bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphics (Australia), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), cnmycar.com (P.R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS8002 model is limited to 1300 pieces worldwide. Photograph

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE TransBus Mini Pointer-bodied Dart UKBUS3029 Southern Vectis Further to the previous successful release of the Mini Pointer Dart replicas in liveries of operators serving southern England, CMNL is releasing another MPD model. This is UKBUS3029 carrying the brand new Southern Vectis livery. A reduction in vehicle requirements at Solent Blue Line coincided with an increased need for further low-floor vehicles at Southern Vectis. Two of the batch of 12 MPDs delivered to SBL in 2003 were transferred to the Isle of Wight in September 2006 and carry the single deck version of the latest Southern Vectis livery designed by Best Impressions. UKBUS3029 Southern Vectis MPD replica carries the fleet number 316 (SN03 LDU). UKBUS3029 carries the third livery featured on the MPDs running in the Southern Vectis fleet. It represents the new ownership of the company as a member of the Go-Ahead Group. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model also features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, showing the detailed, environmentally friendly Euro 3 engine. All grab rails feature inside the replica and in their correct positions. The construction method of this replica permits realistic-looking front and rear lights – in particular the front headlamp / indicator assembly whose headlamp is transparent and indicator is translucent. The brand new UKBUS3029 Southern Vectis MPD bus models are limited to 1100 pieces produced. It will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P. R. China), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. Photograph
