MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE UKBUS5110 Mercedes-Benz Citaro G London Central Creative Master Northcord Limited has now proudly released the second Mercedes-Benz Citaro G bendy bus replica with Go-Ahead’s London operations. It is UKBUS5110 London Central Rt 12. UKBUS5110 carries London Central London Red livery, representing fleet number MAL73 (BX54 UCZ). Go-Ahead London, comprising London Central and London General, operate 94 MAL class Mercedes-Benz Citaro G articulated “bendy” buses on four routes in London. The bus modelled was one of a batch allocated to Route 12 which operates between Oxford Circus and Dulwich Library via Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Westminster, Elephant & Castle, Camberwell and Peckham. Based at London Central’s Camberwell Bus Garage in south east London these high capacity, low floor, fully wheelchair-accessible buses have become a familiar sight on the streets of London since their introduction in 2004. On UKBUS5110 the clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, bonded windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the model is the extensive portrayal of handrails. The headlight / indicator units at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic. The brand new UKBUS5110 three-door Mercedes-Benz G bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphics (Australia), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), cnmycar.com (P. R. of China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS5110 is limited to 1600 pieces worldwide. Photograph 1

MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE UKBUS4011 Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian Lothian Buses Following the significant success in launching the new casting of the Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian model in the madder and white livery of Lothian Buses in 2005, Creative Master Northcord Limited is releasing the third livery on this casting relating to Lothian Buses – UKBUS4011 in Lothian Buses’ red colour for its 15/15A Service. UKBUS4011 represents Lothian Buses fleet number 431 (P431 KSX). Lothian Buses received 3 single-door Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympians in November 1996 that were painted in the black and white private hire/airport livery. After a short time in the blue and grey Airlink livery, 431 (P431 KSX) received Lothian Buses’ standard madder and white colours and, in 2005, the light red and white scheme that is regarded as an identifier for route 15/15A, allowing 431 to join the 6 single-door Leyland Olympians with Alexander R-type bodywork (366-371) that also wear these distinctive colours. Route 15/15A runs from Tranent, in East Lothian, near the southern banks of the Firth of Forth, through Edinburgh City centre into Midlothian and the town of Penicuik in the Pentland Hills. Route 15 passes in close proximity to the 15th Century Rosslyn Chapel, located 7 miles out of Edinburgh, and one of the locations in Dan Brown’s best selling novel “The Da Vinci Code” that became a blockbuster Hollywood movie starring Tom Hanks. The “Da Vinci Code” link has featured prominently in Lothian Buses’ publicity for the service. Just as UKBUS4007, UKBUS4011 has the special combination for the UKBUS4000 series casting, with a single door, middle staircase and square-cornered, gasket windows, as well as a new seating layout in the lower deck to the Lothian Buses style. The front dash panel of UKBUS4011 has been modified where parts of the “nostrils” above the main radiator grille intake have been filled in to create the unique Lothian Buses tramboard that is often used to enhance the, already significant, route information further for the public. The model features the latest Day Ticket and Direct Debit banners that applied from 1st April 2007. Lothian 431 had previously carried the rear Direct Debit banner in a unique location among all Olympians in the fleet. UKBUS4011 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the UKBUS4011 model is its extensive handrails on both upper deck and lower deck. It is one of the significant achievements on this new casting. The rectangular headlight and indicator units at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic. UKBUS4011 is the latest model in the CMNL Lothian Buses collection. Details of all other members of this exclusive collection can be found below to help you to complete your CMNL “Lothian Buses Collection”.
