Renown - Should be Wrights Volvo Liberator?:
Further to my news article of 24 June (below) I have been advised that the Travel West Midlands "Line 33" Wrights bodies are badged as Volvo Liberators not Renowns (as indicated by EFE). The Renown is believed to be the same body as the Liberator but is designed for Scania chassis not the Volvo. Wednesday 26 June 2002 |

One visitor phoned the distributors Hallmark on 01664 480590 and was advised that his model had been delayed due to a problem with the certificates. If you have not yet received your model and are concerned about it please phone Hallmark to check. Friday 14 June 2002 |

EFE Gold RT Further to my news article dated 2 June. I have been advised by the London Transport Museum that the Gold RT mentioned by EFE in their latest Subscriber Newsletter is NOT a Museum model but is a commission by Transport for London. I was further advised that the model is not being handled by the Museum and their understanding is it will not be available for retail customers. No other details are available at this time. Does anyone have any knowledge of why and for what purpose this model has been commissioned? Please e-mail me if you can help Thursday 13 June 2002 |

Warrington Centenary Open Day: I am very grateful to Phil Howard for contacting me and advising me that 360 models of the standard EFE DMS 28002 Warrington Borough Transport where on sale at today's event. The models were arranged by Simon Scott who is the proprietor of CDS Models of Warrington. I understand he supplied the research details to EFE for the production of the model. Each model on sale today was certificated by CDS Models of Warrington and signed by Simon Scott to mark the event. Apart from the certificate I understand there is no difference to the forthcoming standard release of 28002 Tuesday 4 June 2002 |
