EFE today confirmed that a third model was produced for last weekends event (two were reported by me last Friday). I understand that this model was produced in smaller run than Routemaster model 31510A to make up the total quantity required by the Museum. The total numbers of each model have not been advised. The latest edition of the Corgi Collectors Club magazine contains interesting news regarding the above and an exclusive member offer, the below has been scanned from the magazine:
"The July to December 2013 Corgi catalogue featured the 1:76 scale Original Omnibus Company model OM41310 Wright Fusion - First Leeds Bendy Bus which was to be produced as a Special Edition with a split destination. The A variant was heading to Leeds Rail Station via Headingly on route 95, while the B variant was going to Bodington Hall again via Headingly on the same route. The model did not proceed to production and a very few were produced, which we are offering exclusively to Club members. There are only eighteen in all, across both variations and we are limiting purchases to one bus per household. The models are complete and come in standard Original Omnibus Company packaging.
Because of the very small number available, we are holding a ballot which will close on 25th July 2014, when the 18 models available will be selected at random from the applications received by that date".
The article goes on to say that the model will cost the lucky members £49.99 each plus P&P.

The latest (14th) edition of "EFE & CORGI OOC MODEL BUSES GUIDE" is soon to be released on 22nd June at the North Weald Bus Rally. I contacted Oxford Diecast in relation to the Weymann Fanfare - South
Wales after I received an email enquiring why the horns which were shown on
the initial line drawings were not fitted to the production model I
published photographs of last week. They responded as follows: "We decided against the
air horns as the roof would need to be punctured and then the air horns stuck in by hand - to achieve this in production and have the horns all fitted in exactly the right position facing forward would be virtually impossible so they were
omitted".

ROUTEMASTER DELAYED
The Collectors Club of Great Britain/Diecast Collector magazine is
reporting the Corgi have delayed a number of models to 2015 including their
50th scale Routemaster, I have copied an extract from their report below:
".... Some sad news for those of you excited about new products in the Corgi July to December 2014 catalogue, as Corgi has announced that a number of models have been postponed to 2015. Perhaps the most disappointing is the 1/50 scale Buses in Britain Routemaster, RM8 London Transport, First in Operation (CC25909), which was set to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the iconic bus.
No reason was given for the delays - although one could speculate that it's due to manufacturing delays at the factories - although Corgi has stated that "all orders placed for these items will be cancelled".

JOTUS MODEL FOR RM60 EVENT
The Routemaster Association are reporting that Jotus are producing a special
resin FRM model for the RM60 event on 12th/13th July at Finsbury Park,
London N4. No other details are given at this time. Jotus will also be
producing one of their novelty qb Routemaster models and some special mobile
phone cases. The RM Association will be releasing a 1:76th Routemaster model
for the event. The manufacturer is not known.
