NEWS FROM OMNIDEKKA MODELS
The following news has been received from Omnidekka Models:

“YN56FDP (ES-20A&B) - I am pleased to announce pre-ordering is now open for these models and are due May/June 2022. They will come with a limited card and a designed box, they will also have the tree guard fitted to the N/S. 400 are going to be made in 2 routes as below
460 - Epsom
420 - Whitebushes
Prices will be £50 for 1 or £98 for both routes. These will have stock number ES-20 A&B, you will find them on page 2 of my website”.

Oxford Diecast have announced three new models including a new casting in their new September 2021 to January 2022 catalogue:

NEW MODEL FROM THE BUCKIE MODEL CENTRE
The Buckie Model centre have announced the latest model in their British Coach collection. The model features Hemmings Coaches of Holsworthy, Devon, VDL Futura 2 registration number: HM18HEM. I understand that the model will be available from 30th September and will be limited to just 100 pieces. PRE-ORDERS BEING TAKEN FOR NEW OMNIDEKKA MODELS MODEL
Omnidekka Models have announced that they are now taking pre-orders for their Model 1 Go North East Optare Solo SR commissioned models:

“NK18EDX - I am pleased to announce pre-ordering is now open for these models and they are due May/June 2022. They will come with a limited card and a clear box . They will be made in diecast. 300 are going to be made on the following 3 routes (100 of each route)
703 – Newfield via Burnthouse Bank
40 – Rail Station via Market Place
23 – Barley Mow via Wrekenton & Birtley

I was recently in contact with Northcord regarding their two outstanding UKBUS models (UKBUS6524 & UKBUS6526) and was advised that they were waiting for pre-production samples to arrive from the factory.

PRE-ORDERING NOW OPEN FOR NEW MODELS FROM OMNIDEKKA MODELS
The following news has been received this afternoon from Omnidekka Models:

"YJ08PKX Lancashire United - I am pleased to announce pre-ordering is now open for these models and they are due March/April 2022. They will come with a plinth with limited number on, a clear box and a blue covering box. They be made in resin. 300 are going to be made on the following 3 routes (100 of each route)
4 - Leyburn Road
46 - Blackburn
18 - Shadsworth
Prices will be £120 each, £235 for 2 or £350 for 3, if you would like to have a 3 month payment plan please let me know and I will sort this out with my card provider Square Up and you will make 3 payments over 3 months that you choose. These will be posted out using Royal Mail Tracked 24.
Due to a term, I have with Transdev this cannot be posted on Facebook".

NEWS FROM OMNIDEKKA MODELS
The following news was published last evening by Omnidekka Models regarding their forthcoming Optare Versa models:

“YJ57XVN Lancashire United - This has now changed to YJ08PKX. The 3 routes will be the following
4 - Leyburn Road
46 - Blackburn
18 - Shadsworth
These will be £120 each with Royal Mail 24 tracked signed for postage included in that price. I am having 300 made at 100 of each route. I know they are expensive but these have a lot of detailing on them which costs that bit more, for this reason I will be offering a 3 payment option of £40 over 3 months to break the cost down. I plan to open for pre-orders next year, I will lower the price if more than 1 is ordered”.

OMNIDEKKA MODELS REPORT A DELAY IN THE RELEASE OF THEIR CORGI EPSOM COACHES OPTARE SOLO
Omnidekka Models published the below last evening:
"CP44101 A&B - These will now be delivered to me in November due me rejecting the whole batch. This is due to the mirrors being changed from yellow to black which I did not agree to, a spelling mistake in the word Morden on the front destination display which was not on the pp sample I had and the company name on the back not being straight as I asked to be sorted on the main batch. Corgi have agreed to sent the models back to be redone from repainting to new logos and destinations. I am very sorry about this."

Brekina have announced three new Routemaster models, all using their 1:87th scale Routemaster RM casting and are due for release during August:

BRE- 61103 RM Routemaster RM – The Classic Tour

Destination: The Classictour.com

BRE-61107 RM Youngers
Unfortunately the actual bus registration SMK701F was an RML not RM, so the model is factually incorrect.

Registration number: SMK701F
Route number: 15
Destination: East Ham

BRE-61108 RMA – BEA
Unfortunately there are two errors on this model. Firstly, the BEA Routemaster’s had front doors rather than rear of the model RM casting and were designated as Routemaster RMA’s. Secondly, the correct registration should read KGJ601D not KJG601D as depicted on the model.

SIDMOUTH TOY AND MODEL MUSEUM
I spent a very enjoyable afternoon today at the Sidmouth Toy and Model Museum situated in Chapel St, Sidmouth, Devon EX10 8ND. The museum opened during August 2020 and is run by Ian and Rebecca Gregory. Most of the exhibits belong to Ian and Rebecca plus a number that are on loan to the Museum. OMNIDEKKA MODELS UPDATE
Chris from Omnidekka Models has advised me that he has now taken delivery of his Britbus Omnidekka kits, all orders will be despatched next week as he is awaiting a delivery of boxes. They have no limited cards as most are going to be repainted. Only 19 are left in stock for ordering but if there is demand, Chris will place another order with the factory.
The Corgi Epsom Optare Solo is now on the sea and due the last week in July.
