CANCELLATION OF CORGI MODEL Further to my news article of 23rd August 2018 CLICK HERE, I am grateful to Time Tunnel models for advising me that the model has been cancelled by Corgi: GS82329 Routemaster Best of British Range 1:64th scale – Lothian Buses - Edinburgh Festival 2019 I understand that this model was intended to be released late 2018 and was manufactured (1000 pieces). However, due to a licensing disagreement with Lothian Buses (which could not be resolved), this release has now been cancelled. I wonder what will happen to 1000 Routemaster models and will any “escape” and come to the market? |

NEWS
FROM MR CHRIS COTTON Chris has contacted me with a number of items of news: Firstly, he now has a website up and running for those who want to purchase his commissioned models. This can be found at https://omnidekkamodels.com/ Chris has asked me to say that if you have previously ordered one of his Scania Omnidekka models for Go Ahead East London, please DO NOT place another order via the website. If you have previously ordered, Chris has all the details on another system he was using. The website is for new orders only. Secondly, when you visit the website
you will see details of a new model: |

HORNBY ANNOUNCES TWO NEW BUS MODELS As part of Hornby's 100 year’s celebration, they have announced two Corgi Bristol Lodekka models in a Hornby livery which depicts some of the brands from their range over the years. Corgi advises: “We are beyond pleased to introduce an exciting collaboration between Corgi and Hornby, with the Hornby Centenary Bristol Lodekka! The livery on the Bristol Lodekka carries many of the brand names and logos synonymous with Hornby over the last 100 years, with the destination board displaying either Binns Road No. 20 or Westwood No. 64 denoting the year that Lines Bros acquired Hornby. These limited edition and highly collectable die-cast models, celebrating Hornby's centenary year, are available to order via the Corgi website now!” Sharp eyed visitors will note that the destination on the A version in the photograph is wrong and states Bonns Rd, NOT Binns Rd. |
