YARDLEY WOOD BUS CLUB - PRESS RELEASE
The below statement has been received from the Yardley Wood Bus Club:

YARDLEY WOOD BUS CLUB

A message from the Yardley Wood Bus Club, due to decisions beyond our control we are at the moment unable to attend bus shows & rallies outside the “Midlands” area.

We apologise to all our friends and customers who were looking forward to meeting us at events across the UK during this summer.

However there is some good news, firstly our own bus (Birmingham City Transport Marshall Body single-deck Daimler Fleetline Reg. BON 472C, Fleet No. 3472) should be on the road soon, and we hope to launch it at “SHOWBUS 2007” in September.

Secondly we are having our own web site, which should be up, and running in early August, so all of you who are missing us and require models at the usual discount prices can order them at www.ywbc.co.uk

If you cannot wait until then and require a list of models that are available including many at half price then you can send for an updated list free of charge from the following address:

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE
The below press release has been received this morning from CMNL:

UKBUS4012 Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian

First Somerset & Avon

There is no doubt that the Olympian was the most successful classic British double-decker in the last two decades of the 20th Century. When we recall all aspects of the Olympian, we will soon remember the last UK Olympian – W437 CWX.

Creative Master Northcord Limited is now making the above come true in replica form - its UKBUS4012, the Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian in its latest livery – First Bus.

UKBUS4012 represents fleet number 34110 (W437 CWX) that was delivered (as its fleet number 437) to Yorkshire Coastliner Ltd in August 2000, as part of a batch of seven 10.5 long vehicles with 72 seater Alexander Royale bodies, powered by Volvo 245 bhp 9.6 litre engines. These were the last Olympian chassis built for the British market, 437 being the very last to enter service (as replicated earlier by CMNL as its UKBUS4002).

Its delivery also marked the end of traditional, step-entry double-deck production in the United Kingdom, the Olympian being the ultimate development of a long line of successful Leyland buses.

After leaving Yorkshire Coastliner, this Volvo Olympian arrived in Bath in May 2006 and, to date, has been and still is operating the Bath / Chippenham 231/232 route.

UKBUS4012 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square-mounted gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the UKBUS4012 model is its extensive handrails on both upper deck and lower deck.  It is one of the significant achievements on this new casting. The headlight and indicator units at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic.

The brand new single-door Alexander Royale Volvo Olympian double-deck bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P.R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS4012 model is limited to 1300 pieces worldwide.

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE
The below press release has been received this morning from CMNL:

Plaxton Mini Pointer-bodied Dennis Dart

UKBUS3028 Plymouth Citybus

Further to the great success of the previous launch of the Plymouth Citybus Mercedes-Benz Citaro models, CMNL is releasing another Plymouth Citybus bus model with this elegant livery – this time on the popular MPD casting. This is UKBUS3028 carrying Plymouth Citybus standard colours.

The UKBUS3028 Plymouth Citybus MPD replica carries the fleet number 203 and registration number X203 CDV.

Mini Pointer Dart fleet no 203 is one of five such vehicles that have entered service with Plymouth Citybus between 2000 and 2003 and are the second generation of smaller buses to operate in the City. They are carrying on a tradition that began with deregulation in 1986 when the Company introduced large numbers of van-derived Mini buses onto core routes in order to strengthen them against competition.

Such was the success of the first generation of mini buses that they were replaced by larger vehicles, so these days the MPDs concentrate on “niche” routes like Service 45 and 45A which operates “cross city”, linking Cattledown, the City centre and Devonport.

This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the bonded windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model also features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, showing the detailed, environmentally friendly engine. All grab rails feature inside the replica and in their correct positions. The construction method of this replica permits realistic-looking front and rear lights – in particular the front headlamp / indicator assembly whose headlamp is transparent and indicator is translucent.

The brand new UKBUS3028 Plymouth Citybus MPD bus models are limited to 1100 pieces produced. It will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P. R. of China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD - PRESS RELEASE
The below press release has been received this morning from CMNL:

Oxford Bus Company

UKBUS2015 Plaxton President-bodied Dennis Trident

There has been a bit silence of its Plaxton President-bodied Dennis Trident replicas in the past months, but now Creative Master Northcord Limited (CMNL) has proudly released its latest single door version of this casting. It is UKBUS2015, carrying Oxford Bus Company colours.

UKBUS2015 represents fleet number 904 (R4 OXF) which is one of eight Dennis Tridents with Plaxton President bodies in the Oxford Bus Company fleet, acquired in 2006 from its sister company Go-North East. This batch of buses is used on City35 (Oxford to Abingdon via Kennington) and is unusual in a fleet composed mainly of single deck buses.

The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door and engine detail. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible.

Additionally, UKBUS2015 brings some features which represent the special requirements of the Go-Ahead Group e.g. the full-width destination blind at the rear, etc.

The brand new single door Plaxton President-bodied Dennis Trident  double-deck bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P. R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS2015 model is limited to 1300 pieces worldwide.

CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD LIMITED PRESS RELEASE
The below press release has been received this morning from CMNL:

Brighton & Hove

UKBUS1032 Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Trident

CMNL is proud to release the latest livery on its well-known casting – the Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Trident. This is UKBUS1032 carrying Brighton & Hove colours.

This model represents Brighton & Hove 881 (T669 KPU).

When Stagecoach sold its Lewes area operations to Brighton & Hove in September 2005 seven Tridents with Alexander ALX400 bodywork were among the fleet taken over and repainted into Brighton & Hove livery.

These Tridents had originally been in the Stagecoach London fleet but were transferred to Stagecoach South who converted them to single door. Brighton & Hove 881 (T669 KPU) was numerically the first of the acquired Tridents. The model replicates this conversion accurately by showing the painted window pillars either side of where the London-specification centre door had been replaced by a single window.

Now repainted in the generic BH3 livery, 881 carries Brighton & Hove’s innovative and eye-catching advertising, aimed at encouraging car drivers to take the bus, that is applied to non route-branded buses. On its offside 881 carries John Lees’ “I’m on the bus” statement, and it carries the “Annual Bus Travel” rear advert showing comparative costs of annual car travel compared with annual bus travel on Brighton & Hove’s bus services.

For details of all current “I’m on the bus” adverts, recently featuring members of B & H staff as well as passengers, please refer to Brighton & Hove’s own website : http://www.buses.co.uk/

The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door and engine detail. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model also has no unnecessary metal poles to hold it together.

The brand new Brighton & Hove model is based on a Limited Edition of 1300 pieces produced. They will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphic (Australia), cnmycar.com (P.R. of China), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.

VISITORS TO BRITISH MODEL BUSES - AN UPDATE
Since publishing details of countries on 4th July, I have been contacted by David in Switzerland and Nik in Hungary who have pointed out that their countries are not listed, although they are very regular visitors to BMB.  My apologies to them.

I have just checked the stats again and there is a category of "other countries". Closer examination reveals that there have been visitors from a further 32 countries, although the individual countries are unfortunately not listed. The countries listed on 4th July comprised 95% of all visits to the site for the first few days in July whilst the 32 "other countries" comprised the remaining 5%.
