LOSS OF SERVICE
I would like to apologise for the loss of service for two hours between 2.00pm and 3.45pm this afternoon. This was due to essential maintenance to resolve the server problems mentioned in yesterdays news article. Unfortunately the nature of the problem meant I was unable to give advanced notice that the site would be off line. I am hoping that the problems which I have been experiencing have now been resolved.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISITORS
I am currently experiencing difficulties with the upload of data to the web site. This has severely affected the number of updates I have been able to do over the last five days. It appears the fault may be caused by problems within the servers at my web hosting company. The company is currently trying to cure the fault, but at some stage this may involve a loss of service for a few hours whilst they work on the server. During this down time it would not be possible to view the web site at all. I will keep you posted with progress but in the meantime apologise for the reduction in quality of service. I will do my utmost to keep any down time to a minimum. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

PRESS RELEASE RECEIVED FROM CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD
The following press release has been received from CMN and is published in full:

A Milestone in the Midlands – Travel Coventry

ukbus 1009 -- Alexander ALX 400 – bodied Dennis Trident

Creative Master Northcord Limited (CMNL) has released its third Travel West Midlands bus replica on its well-known casting, the Alexander ALX 400-bodied Dennis Trident. The ukbus 1009 model carries the brand new ‘Travel Coventry’ colours.

Travel West Midlands launched the new brand image incorporating the Coventry ‘sky-blue’ colour and famous ‘three spires’ logo in December 2002 to create a new local identity for its bus services in Coventry.

The Travel Coventry bus (BV52 OBL) is shown operating on route 21 between Coventry City Centre and Wood End and is one of a batch of 9 new Dennis Tridents operating in and around Coventry in the new livery. The replica is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model has no ugly metal poles to hold it together. The ukbus 1009 model is limited to 2800 pieces worldwide.

The Travel Coventry bus models will be distributed by Corgi Classics Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.
