I understand that there is an error on the Ipswich Buses model. The model has been released with the fleet number 60 and registration number PJ54 YZU (the registration number relates to fleet number 61). I have been advised that the intended model was fleet number 61 PJ54 YZU

2007 COLLECTOR RANGE RATIONALISATION – Supporting the Trade and the Consumer

""Further to the recent merger of Corgi Classics, Master Replicas and Cards Inc, the new Corgi International business has taken the strategic decision to rationalise the Corgi Collector range. This programme of work is designed to create a stronger more focused Corgi Collector category moving forward and to avoid residual product entering the market and affecting both product and brand value.

Neil states on a news update to his customers that 181 products have been deferred and goes onto say "We have been advised this morning that the following Corgi have been "indefinitely postponed" - which is business speak for "Cancelled".  We will hold orders open for now, in case they are reinstated, but realistically these will likely never arrive"

Both have model designation R808 on this sticker and on the certificates. There are 816 models in total the first 240 certificates have been reserved for the Park & Ride models".

I have now been advised by two traders that both the models (R808 & R808X) have the same Model Number on the box and also the certificates in each of the boxes have identical Model Numbers and Limited Edition of 816 pieces printed on them, but R808X is limited to 240 pieces.

Second New Casting for 2007

CMNL UKVAN range

Creative Master Northcord Limited is proud to release initial information to the collector media for its second new casting for 2007.

The new casting is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter NCV3 Panel Van and Traveliner minibus and will be designed to satisfy the requirements of the United Kingdom / Ireland market.

Therefore, the items under the Creative Master Northcord Limited UKVAN range will be released in right-hand drive configuration and to a scale of 1 : 76 that will fit in with the most commonly collected items in 00 scale.

The version of the new Sprinter that CMNL has chosen to replicate is the long wheelbase version (4325mm) with high roof.

CMNL is taking this bold step to introduce the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter NCV3 onto the UK market as it recognises collectors’ needs to have such a vehicle available a) as a standalone vehicle for model collections, b) to enhance bus depot dioramas by providing the basis for operators’ ancillary & support vehicles, c) as detail to enhance the modern street scene unconnected with the bus operators’ vehicles featured on a diorama and d) to enhance model railway enthusiasts’ layouts.

As the tooling is developed, further announcements will follow enclosing additional detail.

Further to yesterday’s News Release, CMNL wishes to point out a mistake in the information in the following paragraph, regarding the model number for the Stagecoach Manchester Enviro 400 model, which is now corrected as below.

Collectors will soon be able to add a further Stagecoach Manchester model replica of a significant bus also on route 192 : this will be UKBUS6005, replicating one of the buses from the largest single order for the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400, successor to the ALX400.

Stagecoach Manchester

UKBUS1029 Alexander ALX400 Dennis Trident 

CMNL is proud to release the most important livery on its well-known casting – the Alexander ALX 400-bodied Dennis Trident. This is UKBUS1029 carrying the original Stagecoach Provincial livery.

This model represents Stagecoach Manchester 612 (T612 MNF).

Stagecoach placed an initial order for 100 Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Tridents for 1999 delivery. The first 98 of these (order number 9822) were delivered to London and were dual-door. Notably, the first ALX400 Trident for London was painted into chevrons livery and delivered to Manchester. The other two were single-door (order number 9744) and were delivered to Stagecoach Manchester in May 1999. These entered service on route 192 between Stockport Hazel Grove and Manchester Piccadilly.

It will be no doubt to say that UKBUS1029 models will have extra value to collectors.  Collectors will soon be able to add a further Stagecoach Manchester model replica of a significant bus also on route 192 : this will be UKBUS6004, replicating one of the buses from the largest single order for the Alexander Dennis Enviro 400, successor to the ALX400.

The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door and engine detail. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. To replicate the original style of nearside driver’s mirror, the tooling was revised to the original specification as found on many of the earliest UKBUS1000 range models to accommodate this significant feature. The model also has no unnecessary metal poles to hold it together.

The brand new model of Stagecoach Manchester 612 is based on a Limited Edition of 2000 pieces produced. They will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Transit Graphic (Australia), cnmycar.com (P.R. of China), Porte Publishing Company (Japan) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.

LT MUSEUM ACTON SPECIAL MODEL
The LT Museum have advised me that the model being produced will be different to that previously advertised. It appears that the stock of the intended model will not be received in time from China so EFE have produced another model for the event. The new model will feature the new RML casting and represent RML 2410 on Route 5c to Bloomsbury. Further details and photographs will be published as they become available. The Museum have further advised that because they are in the middle of stocktaking prior to the move to the new shop, there will be no mail order on this item.

Further to the great success of the previous launch of Travel London MPD bus models, CMNL is releasing its second Travel London MPD bus model with eye-catching route-branding decoration. This is UKBUS3025 carrying Route 441 Plane and Easy colours.

The UKBUS3025 Travel London MPD replica carries the fleet number DP1 and registration number LJ56 ONH.

Travel London’s 441 service was re-launched on 31^st October 2006 with four new vehicles and a new livery as part of the company’s ongoing investment programme and its work with local stakeholders. The 441, which runs in partnership with BAA Heathrow, serves Heathrow Airport itself, and the local communities in the Englefield Green, Egham, Staines and Stanwell areas. The new vehicles show the new ‘Plane and Easy’ slogan.

This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the gasket windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. The model also features excellent detailing, inside and out, including an opening engine door, showing the detailed, environmentally friendly engine. All grab rails feature inside the replica and in their correct positions. The construction method of this replica permits realistic-looking front and rear lights – in particular the front headlamp / indicator assembly whose headlamp is transparent and indicator is translucent.

The brand new UKBUS3025 Travel London MPD bus models are limited to 1600 pieces produced. It will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), Transit Graphics (Australia), cnmycar.com (P. R. of China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively.

Creative Master Northcord Limited is releasing the sixth replica on its popular Scania OmniCity model tooling. It is UKBUS7006 with Bullocks Coaches’ Oxford Road Link service route branded livery.

UKBUS7006 represents registration number YN05 GZX.

For more than 75 years and over three generations, Stockport-based Bullocks Coaches has developed the experience and professionalism that now drives their travel and transport services.

The model features one of Bullocks Coaches’ Scania OmniCity buses in service on route 147 which is a high frequency bus service linking Piccadilly Rail Station with Central Hospital and Universities via Oxford Road in Manchester. The service is branded as “Oxford Road Link” and is supported by Manchester Metropolitan University, The University of Manchester, Royal Northern College of Music & Central Manchester and Manchester Children’s University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Scania OmniCity UKBUS7006 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square-mounted, double-glazed windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible.

As key features of the UKBUS7000 series, UKBUS7006 has an extensive portrayal of handrails, the headlight / indicator units at the front are made of individual, translucent components to look more realistic and the red lights at the rear are made similarly, with the indicator and reversing light colours tampo-printed on top.
