SCHEDULED RELEASES FROM CORGI OOC Corgi have advised that the following model is scheduled for release week commencing 31st August. This will be the only bus release between now and week commencing 21st September: OM45121 Metrobus WMPTE - West Midlands CLICK HERE 1300 pieces. Split destinations Route 366 Sutton Coldfield and 157 Birmingham. CORGI ROUTEMASTER 1ST
SHOT PHOTOGRAPHS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A NEW TOOLING for Corgi in 2009 is the Routemaster Bus produced to 1:76scale. OM46301- RM 164 (164 CLT) – Route 131 Walton on Thames, 1962 Quota: 1st Issue – 3000 Available December 2009 "Long awaiting for by Original Omnibus collectors Corgi are proud to be releasing OM46301 - RM 164 (164 CLT) – Route 131 Walton on Thames as this first off the tool. This model will be packed with detail, most notably the Moquette patterned seating. In order for Corgi to be able to print the Moquette pattern on the 1:76 scale Routemaster bus seat our engineers have had to specially design the seat so that they can be printed onto flat, then folded and slot individually into place, enabling Corgi to release a truly authentic detailed replica. For those who are not familiar with ‘1st Issue’ status and for those who need a recap, this is a classification tool which allow Corgi to produce a second or third run of extremely popular liveries. Special chassis print is used to denote 1st Issue status and further runs are sequentially numbered thereafter". For an unknown reason the top deck has been shown fitted incorrectly on two of these photographs - Gareth Photograph 1 CLICK

MASTER NORTHCORD LIMITED PRESS RELEASE New Tooling Volvo B12BLE / Custom Coaches CB60 AUBUS1002 Sydney Buses Creative Master Northcord Limited in cooperation with TransitGraphics Pty Ltd (Australia) is proud to announce the release of the long awaited second Australian modern day casting of the Sydney Buses Volvo B12BLE model, AUBUS1002. It is carrying the everyday blue and white Sydney Buses livery Sydney Buses is the government bus operator in the Sydney metropolitan area. A fleet of over 1,800 buses carry over 600,000 passengers to their destinations operates daily. As part of Sydney Buses fleet upgrade new Volvo B12BLE rigid and articulated buses have been introduced with environmentally friendly Euro 4 engines, air-conditioning and ultra low floors to speed up boarding and access for the disabled. The buses have been bodied by Custom Coaches in their Smithfield (Sydney) factory using their well proven CB60 body work. The route 438 operates from the busy City terminus of Circular Quay to Abbotsford along Parramatta Road passing many great locations such as the Sydney University, Leichhardt’s famous cafe and restaurant strip and the harbour view suburbs of Five Dock and Wareemba. The model replicates the ever popular body style and shape produced by Custom with small miniature interior details including Sydney Buses ticketing system “Green Machine” validator, back of drivers panel advertising panels and much more, just like in real life. The replica model is 100% correct, just like the real vehicles with their bright blue and white livery, stickers, badges and logos. Fleet number 4805 represents this bus running on the busy route 438 between the Abbotsford and Circular Quay terminus in the cities CBD. AUBUS1002 features excellent detailing, inside and out. The model shows the correct portrayal of the ceiling handrails and ceiling to floor handpoles. It is also fitted with a Thermo King roof mounted air-conditioning pod. The AUBUS1002 model is limited to 1800 pieces for worldwide distribution. They will be distributed by Transit Graphics (Australia), John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), cnmycar.com (P.R. China) and Concorde Hobby Shop (HK) respectively. In an attempt to maintain a steady supply for our monthly release programme we have been forced to use up valuable time in our in house print finishing facility to decorate monthly release models rather than the anniversary models. However things are just starting to improve and we should be able to get on with producing these models shortly." CONFIRMED RELEASES FROM CREATIVE MASTER NORTHCORD LTD Tuesday 11 August 2009 |
