SUBSCRIBER NEWSLETTER 2014 The Newsletter has just arrived and has a couple of items of interest. Mr Joyce mentions the ongoing production difficulties with China and explains that they are working with the factories to increase manufacturing capacity, but it will take some time to see the results of this. Additionally he mentions that to keep collectors supplied some models will be similar to vehicles previously released but with authentic new liveries. Subscriber only model AEC 10T10 in Ensign buses American Clubmobile livery has almost sold out and are in short supply if any Subscribers have not yet ordered one and want one. Brief details of two new

NEW
RESIN LEYLAND CR MODEL ANNOUNCED BY JOTUS.COM Following on from the success of their London Bus Museum commissioned model of CR16 in London Transport green (see news of 13th April below), Jotus.com have advised that they will be releasing a standard release Leyland CR model in London transport green, this time representing CR14. BUS MUSEUM SPRING GATHERING BROOKLANDS I attended the event today but unfortunately could not get there until just before 2.00pm. The weather was unbroken sunshine with temperature of about 18/19 degrees. My only complaint about the weather was the very bright sun made photography around the site difficult on occasions. EFE did not attend the event so there is no news from them. Further to my report of 9th April (below), the Museum's show model was on sale today and is limited to 200 pieces. There were some models left at the end of the day but I do not know how many. The Museum also had on display a completed kit model in 1:76th scale of the Museums AEC Regal 4 Prototype UMP 227. The kit is not yet available for sale and I do not know what the retail price will be. To view photographs of the two models click on the links below. I have only had time for a couple of very quick photographs of my Show model and hope to take some higher quality images later this coming week. BUS MUSEUM SPRING GATHERING - MODEL The London Bus Museum have advised that stock of their Spring Gathering special model should arrive in the UK tomorrow, to be on sale this Sunday at the Show at Brooklands. As previously reported on 27th February, the model will be a Jotus resin Leyland CR representing the Museums own CR16 CLICK HERE to view a photograph of a pre-production sample of the model. The Museum have advised that the model will be priced at £65 with a 10% discount for London Bus Museum members (£58.50) plus £5.00 post and packing if required. Wednesday 9th April 2014 |

COMMISSIONED MODEL FROM THE ROUTEMASTER ASSOCIATION The latest on-line Newsletter from the Association has arrived and mentions a possible commissioned model for the Routemaster 60 event in July: "Routemaster 60 Commemorative model If there is sufficient interest, then we will go ahead and produce this model".
