The model
shown is the Transport for London private commission model which will
not be for public sale. This special version of the model represents the
bus as it appeared in its first public trip in the Jubilee Parade in
June, and differs from the model that is on sale to the public by having
50 as a 'route number', with "THE QUEEN'S GOLDEN JUBILEE" in
the 'via' destination blind box. The standard model is shown with blinds
as running on route 23. The special edition bus also has ER 50 on each
side as garage running numbers; another correct feature for the Parade
day, and missing from the standard version. Only 500 of this 'private'
version of the model have been produced and are to be used for
presentation pieces by TfL. The boxes containing the models are not,
however, marked with 10131A. They carry the model number 10131, which is
the same as the standard model that is for sale.
A picture of the real bus in the exact livery as represented by this model can be found in the Gallery AEC RT page CLICK HERE to view. |
